Altho never really well for the last three years, she bore her suffering with patience.
A shadow fell upon our lives when death the reaper came and took our mother dear away from earthly care and pain;
The Lord said, 'You have finished. Come up higher Mother dear, you have won a home in Heaven for the pain you suffered here'
We saw her sufferings, heard her sighs, with aching hearts and weeping eyes, we saw her sinking hour by hour, yet could not stay death's awful power. In silence she suffered, with patience she bore, Till God called her home to suffer no more.
Funeral services were conducted at the M. E. church in Belleview, Monday afternoon, June 17, 1918, by her pastor, Rev. Earl Barrett, of Hamburg, after which interment took place in the Long cemetery.
