Edward Wigant was born May 10, 1897 at Hill City, Graham Co., KS to Thomas F. & Clarissa "Clara" Reed (Burton) Wigant and died Feb. 13, 1947 in Sebastian County, Fort Smith, AR. He was the youngest of 4 children. He was a Private in the Kansas 164 Depot Brig. He married Daisy Crawford on April 29, 1931 in Kit Carson County, Colorado and was divorced on 31 Aug. 1937 in Sevier County, AR. He married Lou Minchew on May 18, 1939 in Sebastian County,AR.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas in 1914 and Clarissa in 1937 and two sisters: Loura Gertrude Plumb-Clarkson in 1891 and Sylvina Winterowd in 1918.

He is survived by a brother, Albert and his wife, Lou.

Burial in the Fort Smith, AR National Cemetery.
