Born Ramsey, Ontario Province, Canada. Son of Peter Dykes Sr. and Rebecca (Lindsay) Dykes. Husband of Ann (Paul) Dykes. Originally buried Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Removed to W.L.H. 20 May 1915.

Civil War veteran. Served with the 77th regiment Pennsylvania Infantry. Private. Co. 'B'

"DYKES.-On the morning of May 6, 1887, PETER DYKES, aged 60 years.
The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, on Monday afternoon, at 1 1/2 o'clock, from his late residence, 3410 Sunnyside avenue, Falls of Schuylkill. Interment at Mount Vernon Cemetery. (Cleveland and Chicago papers please copy)."
