Yesterday morning at one o'clock, little Grace Hale, daughter of Mr. William M. Hale, died at the residence of her father in Oshtemo township. She was attacked on Friday last with that terrible scourge, diphtheria. The disease soon assumed a most malignant type, terminating after a short illness in her death at the hour we have stated. She was a very bright aimable child and had made a host of friends in her short stay, on this lower sphere. Although only eleven years of ago, she was quite old in her way and was a very womanly little girl, taking part in social affairs very precociously for one of her years. She was constant attendant at church, and an active member of the Sabbath school. The remains were buried yesterday and the funeral sermon will be preached at the Oshtemo Church next Sunday morning.
