Aged Highwood Resident Dies
Lewis Hale, of Highwood, passed away in the St. Clare hospital in this city on Monday of this week, death being due to infirmities of age. The deceased had lived in the Highwood section for the past 35 years, coming to this county in 1912. He worked the greater part of his time on various ranches and was employed for a long time by C. W. Thompson.
He was born Aug. 15, 1865, at Oshtemo, Michigan, and spent his early life there. He was never married.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. T. N. Avrill of Townsend, Mont., and by a niece residing in Highwood.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of the Benton Funeral Home today at 2:30 p.m. and will be conducted by the Rev. Hugh Herbert, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
