G. Hearty, age 78, died July 26, 1998 in Ogden, Utah.

She was born January 15, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Barnard and Mae Burger Castagno. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She married Thomas C. Hearty, May 17, 1940 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was solemnized in the Jordan River Temple October 6, 1992. He died July 28, 1993. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, D.U.P. and the National Pony Express Assn. She was a lifetime resident of Grantsville and loved horses and the rugged outdoor life of the west.She is survived by a son, Patrick Hearty, South Jordan; and a daughter, Mrs. Bryant (Cherry) Hanson, Bountiful; six grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine Parkinson, Orem and Irene Sequist, Grantsville; one brother, Clifford Castagno, Grantsville. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday July 30, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Grantsville West Stake Center, 115 East Cherry St. Friends may call at Tate Mortuary, 110 So Main St., Tooele, on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the Church on Thursday. Interment, Grantsville City Cemetery.
