Durwood Babcock, 55, of 1615 Ravine St., died yesterday of an apparent heart attack in his camper at the Black River Falls area where he was spending a few days. He was born Jan. 4, 1913, in New Auburn, Wis., and was married Dec. 13,1935, in Rockford to Rose Lee. He was employed at Helgesen Harvestore and prior to that by Sanford Builders. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Rutherford, Japan, and Mrs. Helen Toman, La Grange, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Mishleau, Fort Atkinson, Mrs. Grace Dickinson, Janesville, and Mrs. Ruby Skelly, Janesville; a brother, Leonard, Haverstraw, New York; and three grandchildren. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery Albion.
