Virginia Stevens Mooney Dexter, Missouri
--Virginia S. Mooney, daughter of Willie Mae Stevens and the late Arthur Elmer Stevens, born in Warren on April 17, 1930, died at Dexter Memorial Hospital July 5. At the time of her death she resided in Bernie, MO with her husband, Ray Mooney, whom she married in 1983.

Virginia was a retired telephone operator, who started her career in New Orleans, LA. and retired while working for the civic service in Anchorage, Alaska. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Mooney, of Bernie, MO; two sons, Steven Crumpler of Bentonville and Mark Crumpler of Prattville, AL; one daughter, Jennie Lynn Kelly of El Dorado; three brothers, Billy Joe Stevens of McGehee, Dorse E. Stevens of Bossier City, LA, and Raymond J. Stevens, also of Bossier City; five sisters, Marjorie Jones, Geraldine Cingolani, and Catherine Minchew, all of McGehee, Agnes Whitlow of Clarksville, TN. and Pauline Rivlin of New Orleans, LA; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held at the Rainey Funeral Home Chapel in Bernie on Tuesday, July 7 with the Rev. Jerry Lemmons officiating. Interment was in the Berie Cemetery.
