Marlene was a loving wife, mother, Grammy, great-Grammy, sister and a special mother-in-law, who loved her family and friends dearly. She loved working in her flower garden, and especially loved setting on her deck swing and reminiscing with her family. She helped as a volunteer for the St. Mary's Social Action harvest fair for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Roland Forbes of Presque Isle; four sons and their wives, Wilfred and Brenda Forbes of Biddeford, Terry Forbes of Saco, Keith and Barb of Glenburn, Kevin and D'Ann of San Diego, CA; two daughters, Gail Woodman and her husband, Russell, of Castle Hill and Karen Forbes of Saco; three brothers, Wilfred and Nellie Guerette, both of Presque Isle, Philip Guerette of Crouseville; five sisters, Angie Powers, Annie Drost, Arlene Elliot, all of Presque Isle, Edna Albert of Fort Kent and Corinne Levesque of Caribou; five grandsons, Jason, Brian, Aaron, Joshua and Isaac Forbes; a granddaughter, Kyrra Mahaney; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Peter, Reno, Paul and Carl; two sisters, Lorraine Tardy and Gloria St. Peter.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, June 21, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Presque Isle, with the Rev. Raymond Morcency officiating. Interment was at the Northern Maine Veterans' Cemetery in Caribou,
