Charles Belch, beloved husband of Selma, passed away peacefully on January 19, 1992 after a brief illness, at the age of 87 years. He is also survived by his daughter Maryann (Gordon) Hustack and son Charles (Alva) Belch; five grandchildren, Laurie (Al), Chris (Sonia), Michele (Joe), Blair (Sandra), Glenda (Gary); three great-grandchildren, Bradley, Brian and Alexander; brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Bill and Diane Babush and niece Sandra and nephew Bob and family. Charles was born in Panavezys, Lithuania on July 22, 1904. He came to Canada in 1926 where he began working for the CP. Railway in Tompkins, Sask. He married Selma Babush in Gull Lake, Sask. on July 22, 1933. After living in several locations in Sask. and Alberta, he retired as a section foreman in Irricana, Alberta in 1964. They have resided in Calgary for the last twenty-eight years. He will be sadly missed by Selma, his family and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard's Catholic Church (711 - 37 Street N.W.) today, January 22, 1992 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. C. Eric Nelson Celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Joseph's Section at Queen's Park Cemetery. Arrangements in care of MclNNIS & HOLLOWAY'S "Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home", 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH. Telephone: 276-2296.
