Son of Verbie & Elnora (Young) Garland. Retired from U.S. Army. Later worked for USD #475 as a custodian until his retirement. He was a member of the Community Outreach Ministry in Junction City. Married Dorothy Crane, Jan. 17, 1978 in Junction City. She survives of the home, other survivors include, three daughters, Pamela Harbor of Wichita, KS; Sharry Garland, Toledo, OH; and Katherine Brown of Jackson, Miss; one sister, Margaret Cassamba, Toledo, OH; nine grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a special friend, William Clark. Funeral Service at Pentecostal Church at 5th and Adams, burial will follow, with full military honors at Highland Cemetery.
