Mrs. Ella Barksdale Barbour, age 83, of Nathalie died October 28, 2008 at her residence.
Mrs. Barbour was the daughter of the late Mr. Kitt Barksdale and Mrs. Effie Boyd Barksdale and was married to the late Mr. Otis Barbour Sr.
Mrs. Barbour was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Barbour is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Betty Tune (James III) and Ms. Sarah Ann Barbour of Nathalie; four sons, Mr. Otis Barbour Jr. and Mr. Malcolm "Rudy" Barbour (Mattie) of Nathalie, Mr. Levi (Nancy) Barbour of Long Island, Va., Mr. Kitt Lee (Drusilla) Barbour of Lanham, Md.; six sisters, Ms. Linda Barksdale of Lanham, Md. Mrs. Barbara Black (Kenneth) of Nathalie, Ms. Nancy Barksdale of Washington, DC, Mrs. Martha Farmer (Ray) of New Castle, Del., Mrs. Erna Jennings of Capital Heights, Md. and Mrs. Minnie (Edward) Slayton of Belmont, N.C.; one aunt, Mrs. Helen Boyd of Gretna; one uncle Mr. Othell Boyd of Long Island, Va.; and a host of grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbour will be held Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Nathalie with interment in the Barbour Family Cemetery.
