The funeral for James Gerald "Half Pint" Meals, 71, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home with burial in the Athens City Cemetery.
Mr. Meals died Sunday, January 16, 2011, at the Athens Convalescent Center. He was born April 5, 1939, in Limestone County. He was a member of the Blackburn Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Meals of Athens; twin granddaughters; sister, Margaret Stoner of Huntsville; brothers, Marshall Meals and Harold Meals, both of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ellis Meals and Ira Lee Glaze Meals; and a sister, Marie Meals Wills.
