Helen B. Hatch, 79, of Sterling, died Monday, Feb. 14, 1994 in Sterling.
Visitation to begin at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Chaney Walters Funeral Home chapel. Vigil service at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Chaney-Walters. Burial with Mass at 10 a.m., Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Blanco officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Hatch was born Nov. 11, 1914 to Joseph and Margaret Casper Schadegg in Newton, Kan. In 1918 she moved with her family to St. Peters where she attended school.
In 1933 she moved to Sterling.
On Oct. 1, 1938 she married Thomas E. Hatch in Sterling. The couple moved to the Padroni area where they lived until moving to West Plains in 1944.
The couple moved back to Sterling in 1963 where they had lived since.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and Royal Neighbors.
She is survived by sons, Ronald Hatch and wife Linda of Greeley, and Ed Hatch and wife Donna of Atwood; sisters, Cecile Kitt of Dixon, Calif., Jø Ballinger of San Antonio, Texas, Catherine Dittler of Brush and Margaret Hatch of
Sterling, and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas in 1974, daughter, Sandra Seems, brothers Henry and Alex and sisters Christine and Sister Mary Edna.
Memorials may be made in Mrs. Hatch's name to the Senior Citizens Club of the Heritage Center.
