Mariana (Marie Anna) was the daughter of Johannes John Keiner and Barbara Zaarcher (Zurcher) (Zurgher). She was born on Sonbeval Mtn. in Canton, Berne, Switzerland She was the second wife of Peter Zimmerly. They were married 2-2-1882 following the death of Peter's first wife Anna (Annie). Seven children were born to this union, and one child was adopted. Mariana is listed as Marie Anna on her death certificate and died at age 81 yrs, 7 months, and 10 days of a cerebral hemmorage. She is buried in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Bluffton, Ohio. Mrs. Melvin Zimmerly signed her death certificate, and it indicates she died at home.
