David C. Aery, residing in White Post township, and northeast of this place, was found dead in a feed lot north of his residence Sunday evening at ten o'clock. Mr. Aery had not always possessed good health, yet his sudden death came unexpectedly. About eight o'clock as the rest of the family were preparing to retire, he left the house to look after some stock - a usual custom of his and it is supposed that as he entered the feed lot he was stricken with heart trouble, and died instantly. No marks of violence or struggle indicating that he came to his death in any other way. His long absence from the house caused his wife to make a search for him thinking that he had probably been injured in a manner that he could not return. A short search of the premises proved futile at first, and she walked to the home of a neighbor who returned with her, another search was made. this time the lifeless body was found.
Deceased was a native of Rawley Springs, Virginia, and was over 50 years of age. The funeral took place from the Pleasant Ridge church Wednesday at one o'clock, interment being made in the Koster cemetery. he leaves five daughters to mourn his loss.
