She married Raymond Logan McCann (1909-2001) on June 30, 1929 at the Presbyterian parsonage in Burbank, Los Angeles County, California.

Irene was a teacher at Washington School in Burbank before and after her marriage. When I was a child, we always spent Christmas eve at their home located at 236 North Lincoln in Burbank. It just wasn't Christmas without being sent outside to find Santa and returning to discover Santa had come while we were looking for him and then opening our presents in their living room on Christmas eve.
