In the 1950's he and his family opened Tops Tavern on College Street , Kitchener. Norman was extremely community spirited and was instrumental in the formation of the Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Centre and it thrives as an association of diverse local community groups largely through the tireless efforts of Norman Lynn, and a few like minded individuals.
