NEW LISBON - Alta L. Dahlke, age 95, of New Lisbon, died on Thursday, May 8, 2003, at Fair View Nursing Home in Mauston. She was born on April 2, 1908, in the town of Woodland, Wonewoc, Wis., at the home of her parents, Edward and May Hochmuth. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wonewoc, Wis.

She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Jerry) Wegener, Santa Clarita, Calif., and Dianne (Jack) Harris, Williamsburg, VA.; four sons, Richard (Pat), West Salem, Wis., Robert (Barbara), Menomonie, Wis., David (Grace), Beloit, Wis., and Dale (Linda) of Menomonie, Wis.; 23 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren; sisters, Leona Mueller, Hillsboro, Wis., and Edna Duddleston, LaValle, Wis.; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; also her beloved son-in-law, Robert (Fran) Peregrine, Oconomowoc, Wis. She always enjoyed the visits of all her family members and kept in close touch with them all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1979; a daughter, Nancy, in 1990; a sister, Louise Boehme, Milwaukee, Wis.; and an infant brother, Earl, in 1923.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 12, 2003, at 7 p.m. at ST. LUKE'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH in New Lisbon. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Private family burial will be in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Wonewoc, Wis.
