MONTPELIER, IDAHO — Lula Dimick LaRocco, 79, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2007, in the Bear Lake Memorial Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born June 22, 1927, to A.S. Dimick and Maud Dayton in Wardboro, Idaho. She married Cecil Cook LaRocco June 17, 1946, in Paris, Idaho.
Lula loved being a homemaker. She enjoyed painting, gardening, canning, baking, and did beautiful needlework.
She loved living in Bear Lake and was happiest when her family was around her. She looked forward each year to attending the Dimick family reunion. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she and Cecil spent most of their 60 years of married life in the Montpelier First Ward.
Lula is survived by her daughter, Faye LaRocco-Sharpe, son-in-law, John Rich Sharpe, granddaughters, Stephanie and Natalie Sharpe, and great-grandsons, Travis Harlan and Jacob Hanover; two sisters, Adell Black and Ruth Kirby; one brother, Orval and wife, Helen Dimick; and one brotherin-law, Nello Gale LaRocco.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil; a son, Steven; a daughter, Tammy; her parents, two brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 21, at 2 p.m. in the Matthews Mortuary Chapel, where friends may visit with family that day from 1 p.m. until time of the service.
The interment will be in the Wardboro Cemetery with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary of Montpelier.
