Anna (Sierks) Christensen was the daughter of Peter Sierks and Catharina Margaretha Werling. She was born near Durant, IA and by 1885 the Sierks family had moved to Jackson County, MN. Anna married Peter B. Christensen in Bigelow, Nobles County, MN on 24 July 1897. Together with her husband and six children, she moved to the area of Walnut, Bureau County, IL in the early 1900s.

Funeral services for Mrs. P. B. Christiansen, 73, who died last Thursday at 8 a.m. at her home in Walnut after a long illness, were conducted Saturday afternoon at the home, the Rev. L. E. Weinreich, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in Walnut cemetery.
Mrs. Christiansen was born Anna S. Sierks on Nov. 26, 1875 in Durant, Iowa. She was married to P. B. Christiansen in 1896. She had lived in Walnut for 37 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Albus, Rock Falls; five sons, Ernest, Barthel, Jessie, Herbert, all of Walnut; and Harry, Rock Falls. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in October, 1940.
