FEDDIE Behling

"To love and then to lose." No one realizes more fully the sorrow contained in these words than a mother who has given up a beloved child when "God drew near among his own to choose." A year has passed away since the Angel of Death hovered over our home and we knew that Feddie must go. When we saw that our loving care could no longer hold her, we tried to find comfort in remembering that though we were left in deepest sorrow, her sufferings would forever cease and that she was going where "all tears are wiped away."

It was so hard to give her up just as she stood upon the threshold of joyous young womanhood and we can but grieve - but as the years pass, I'll turn my eyes toward the hills of God and rejoice that some day I shall join my child.

Where loyal hearts and true
Stand ever in the light,
All raptured through and through
In God's most holy sight.
