ONTARIO, CANADA Sarah K. Diehl Williams Barnwell Roper (75) passed away November 8, 2004, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Sarah was born at home on November 22, 1928, in York, to the late Murray Elmer Diehl and Mary Edna (Shetter) Diehl. She moved to Los Angeles, California in 1946. In 1948 she married John L. Williams. She was employed by the Bank of America. They had one son, John S. Williams. In 1966, she married James G. Barnwell and they had two children Jamie Barnwell and one son Sean Barnwell. After moving to Florida, Sarah worked for Stenotype Institute of Jacksonville for 22 years. In 1994, she married Robert S. Roper and moved to Ontario, Canada. Sarah is survived by two sons, John S. Williams wife Barbara of Las Vegas, Nev. and Sean Barnwell wife Sara of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter Jamie (Barnwell) Mazzeo husband Tony of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren Kevin Williams wife Jessica and Amanda Williams (Alan Barry) both of Las Vegas, Nev.; Anthony (AJ) Mazzeo, Nitasha Mazzeo, Gracy all of Jacksonville, Fla.; six great grandchildren, Austin Harmer, Jordan Harmer, Davin Poor, Cayden Williams, Natalia Barry and Zachary Barry all of Las Vegas, Nev. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy E. Diehl, George W. Diehl, Murray E. Diehl and Paul W. Diehl; one sister May E. (Diehl) Bernd husband Richard. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, John L. Williams, James Barnwell and since her death Robert Roper. Sarah will be coming home to rest at long last with her family in York, Pennsylvania. A short graveside service and interment will be held May 21, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Mount Rose Cemetery, York. Arrangements are under the direction of Mount Rose Cemetery/ Dignity Memorial.
