The seven months old infant of Mr and Mrs John Shaw, died suddenly and unexpectedly, last Wednesday morning. The parents rose at the usual time in the morning, leaving the little one alone in the bed, while the mother prepared breakfast for her husband, who is a miner. Before starting for work Mr Shaw looked in upon the baby, which showed no signs of distress, but appeared to be in good health. A short time later the mother went into the room for the purpose of dressing the baby, and was horrified to find the little one cold in death. Brain trouble is given as the cause of death, by the physician who was called. Burial was made at South Lawn cemetery, yesterday afternoon.
