Coon Descendants, by Frances Davis McTeer, 1979, (pg. 175): "John Coon, born in Botetourt Co., Virginia, 1 Nov 1809, died at the home of his daughter near Inskip, Butte Co., California, 23 Aug 1896; married in Ross Co., Ohio 23 March 1833, Sarah Gray, born in Virginia in 1808, died near Inskip about 1885-1887, possible daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Coon) Gray. Both buried in Dayton Cemetery."
Note: Info per John Coon's obituary, notes wife Sarah's death in 1885. He died 1896. No further documentation could be found to confirm Sarah (Gray) Coon's burial at Dayton cemetery. Possibly Cenotaph location.
