Chico Weekly Chronicle-Record, Saturday, September 3, 1892: "Death of Mrs. Nancy Dyer. Mrs. Nancy Dyer breathed her last at the family residence at Dayton yesterday. It seems that with this afflicted family at least misfortunes come not singly. Last year Mr. and Mrs. Dyer lost three of their children within a week. Now the mother is called away and the father and three little children are left to mourn her loss. The funeral will take plac [sic] from the residence at Dayton this afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment will be had in the Dayton cemetery."

Earliest Death Records, copied from death certificates, burial permits, and removal slips, filed chronologically in small packets at the courthouse in Oroville. Published in the Paradise Genealogical Society's Goldmine. "Dyer, Nancy, white, age 32 yrs, b. Missouri, d. 28 Aug 1892 outsice [sic] Chico, Ca. of typhoid fever."

Lot purchased by Henry A. Dyer on April 10, 1917.
