Josephine Skrodzki, aged 83, passed from the arms of her loving family into the waiting arms of her Savior on Monday. Born in Poland and educated in Africa, Josephine was employed by R. E. Dietz in the housekeeping department. She was a communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and devoted her whole life to her children and her grandchildren; they were her love, her hobby and her passion. She was predeceased by her husband, John, in 1992; and her son, Zbigniew. Survivors: two daughters, Regina Burke and Kristine (Johnny) Simone; two sons, Edmund (Cheryl) and Richard (Leslie) Skrodzki; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Services: 9 a.m. Saturday at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Entombment: St. Mary's Mausoleum, DeWitt.
