This is a stone I came across while trying to locate another, so the bio below is based on information found on United States censuses. As is common, the information on one census is sometimes at odds with another.

Somewhat less common, however, is that it appears this stone may not reflect an accurate year of birth for one person (Frederick), nor an accurate name and date of birth for his wife. His wife appears as "Lucetta" on the stone (an uncommon name for someone of German heritage), and on the censuses as "Lousia" (a garbled Louisa?), Elizabeth (maybe an Americanized version perhaps of the German Lizbeta), Lizteta (ditto) and Louisette (heaven knows, Louise-etta?).

The 1880 census at 29 Mascher Street in Philadelphia finds Frederick (age 43 so born about 1837) and wife "Lousia" (spelled like that, age 41, born about 1839). With them are sons Frank (age 20, a box maker), Fred (age 17, a baker), Willie (age 14, "at home" - probably not working or at school) and daughter Lillie (age 6, "at school"). There is also son Charlie age 1, making for a total of 5 children.

Most of the 1890 census has been lost, so let's turn to the 1890 Philadelphia City Directory. It lists only male adult household members and does not show ages, but it tells us that Bubecks with the first names of Augustus (a weaver), Frederick (a baker), and William (a boxmaker) all reside at 1832 Gtn Avenue (which I take to mean Germantown Avenue). Also listed is another Frederick whose occupation says only "milk" (probably delivery) who lives at 2428 Alder. Other unfamilar Bubeck listings are Harry (driver, 2531 Girard), John F (salesman, 3031 Lawrence), John W ("segars", 1764 N. 4th), and William (barber, 1737 Jefferson).

In the 1900 census, Frederick Bubeck (born March 1838) and wife Elizabeth (born September 1839) are listed at 5051 Kensington Avenue in Philadelphia. With them are children August (born June of 1862, occupation weaver as in 1890), Charles (born September 1879, occupation weaver) and William (born March of 1866, occupation box maker as in 1890). Frederick the son does not appear here. Father Frederick is employed as a baker, and his wife Elizabeth reports having borne 4 children, all of whom are alive. She and her husband report they have been married 40 years, so married about 1860.

The 1910 census finds Frederick living at 2050 Bainbridge Street in Philadelphia, in household of son in law Samuel Potterston (house painter) and his wife Sillie (who must be Frederick's daughter, as well as Samuel and Lillie's children, son Fredrick S. age 12, and daughter Clara, age 11. Frederick's wife "Lizteta" (Lizbeta?) is present, as are their children, one son's age 37 whose name is illegible and who is a machinist at a machine shop, and son Charles age 30, no occupation given. Frederick Bubeck's occupation is illegible, but is listed as being done as "inside work" while his wife is a weaver at a rug mill. Here it states she and her parents were born in Germany, and she came to the us in 1845, while his date of arrival is shown as 1858.

1920 census taken at 2136 Clementine Street reports that Frederick came to the US in 1854, was naturalized 1866, self and parents born in Germany, occupation listed as "gentleman". Can read and write English. Living with wife, listed as Lousiette, housekeeper, born in Philadelphia PA, parents born in Germany, cannot read or write English, but speaks it. No one else is present in the household.

In December of 2021 this suggested info was received from fellow contributor Brad Upp (48937621):

"Corporal Frederick Bubeck, Co. F. 118th Pa. Infantry (Civil War) – Mustered in on Aug. 14, 1862. Captured June 2, 1864, at Cold Harbor, Va. Held at Andersonville prison. Released April 27, 1865. Recorded as present at Camp Discharge May 24, 1865. Discharged by general order June 8, 1865."
