Services Conducted For Mary A. Roetgerman Albers
Requiem High Mass was sung Tuesday at 9 a.m. in St. John's Curch at Maria Stein for Mary A. Albers, aged 78, wife of Henry Albers, who died at 12:15 p.m. Friday at the St. Marys Memorial Hospital. The Rev. George Kraft officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Albers had been in failing health for some time. Her death was attributed to a complication of diseases.
A lifetime resident of the community, she was born November 14, 1879, the daughter of Herman and Anna Senger Roetgerman. She and Mr. Albers were married June 13, 1900. The family residence is located one-half mile southwest of Maria Stein.
Surviving in addition to the husband are the following eight children: Alfred Albers, Motezuma; Edward, Osgood; Mrs. Cletus (Ida) Schaaf, Dayton Ohio; Mrs. William (Marcella) Burris, Danna, Florida; John, Chickasaw; Herbert Cassella; Mrs. John (Bertha) Wright, Detroit Michigan; Mrs. James (Joanna) Peay. Adrian, Michigan. There are 31 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters and tow brothers, namely Mrs. Elisabeth Otte of Chickasaw, Bernadine Roetgerman of Minster, and Frank and Bernard Roetgerman both of Minster.
Mrs. Albers was a member of the St. Ann Sodality of the church.
Arrangements were completed by the Hogenkamp Funeral Home.
Children: Alfred, Edward, Ida (Scheaf), Marcella (Burris), John, Herbert, Bertha (Wright), Joanne (Peay).
