F. A. Johnson dies in Mothers home, was Alderman, from Old Fifth Ward, for two terms, Frank A. ("Dooley") Johnson, who served two terms in the city council as Alderman from the fifth ward, died at 10:30 o'clock Thursday night at the home of his mother, Mrs. Appolonia Johnson, 428 N. Jasper St. He was 50 years old in November. His Death was caused by stomach trouble with which he suffered for several years.
Frank Johnson was a son of Ole and Appolonia Johnson he was born in St. Louis Nov. 11, 1869, he came with his parents to Decatur in 1872, and had made his home here ever since. He and Miss Emma Collins were married September 2, 1891, she died 20 years ago. His father has also been dead several years. He is survived by his daughter Mrs. Elmer Helm, of Decatur and her three children, and an Uncle Frank Montag of Decatur. He was 23 in 1893, when he was elected to the city council, youngest man to hold a seat on the city council. The body was removed to the Moran undertaking establishment and prepared for burial.

The funeral of Frank Johnson will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the residence of his mothers 528 North Jasper street, Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery
