[Funeral arrangements omitted here.]
Miss Stobbe was born March 11, 1889, at Stinhude, Germany, to Albert and Dora Bredthauer Stobbe. When she was 10, the Stobbe family emigrated to Valley County and settled on land nine miles west of Ord. There, she completed her schooling.
When she was a young woman, Miss Stobbe returned to her native land for a visit. There, she met and married Walter Utermueller. Soon after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Utermueller moved to Valley County (Nebraska). One child was born to them. The marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Utermueller ended when he became dissatisfied with his adopted country and wished to return to Germany. Mrs. Utermueller had her maiden name returned to her. Her son, Walter, died in childhood. Soon thereafter, Miss Stobbe came to Grand Island. After a short stay here, she went to Rawlins, Wyo. She returned to Grand Island in 1938 after her retirement. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
Miss Stobbe is survived by two brothers, Ezra H. (Sam) Stobbe of Grand Island and Herman Stobbe of North Loup; and by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert, Carl, Adolph and Frank Stobbe; and one sister
