At a regular meeting of the above lodge, held on Nov. 8, 1899, the following resolutions were unamionsly adopted:
Whereas, It has pleased the Grand Master from above to remove from his home and our lodge room, our worthy and aged brother, Phillip Ayersman, who departed this life suddenly on October 31, 1899. Whereas, While we mourn his loss, as one who always remembered his obligations being ready to lend a helping hand in every time of need. In the death of brother Ayersman, our lodge has lost a faithful member of Airie lodge, No. 17, and one who enjoyed himself in all business meetings, while able to attend, and the M.P. church, also mourns his loss, as he was a substantial member of that branch, and for served as steward for many years, until his physical condition caused him to lay aside his stewardship as collector for the church, but the ministers of the gospel were always welcome visitors at brother Ayersman's home, and he had learned long since that it was more blessed to give than to recieve. He was a kind husband and loving father and a faithful believer in the father-hood of God, and the brotherhood of man. Resolved, That we as Odd Fellows extend our heart felt sympathy to his bereaved widow, family and friends in this hour of deepest sorrow, and may they be sustained and comforted through their sad afflictions by a sublime faith in our heavenly Father, who doesth all things well.
