Blanche attended East High School in Youngstown and taught kindergarten at the Bethel House. She was a ward clerk at St. Elizabeth Medical Center and was a Mahoning County Sheriff dispatcher. She retired from the Mahoning County Sheriff's office in 1976. Blanche was an Avon representative for many years as well.
She was also a member of the Price Memorial AME Zion Church. One of her greatest joys was music. Blanche was a member of the Youngstown Symphony Chorus directed by John Krueger and a member of the Price Memorial's adult choir.
