Wife of William Gibson. Known children were Sarah E., Oliver F., William W., Louisa S. (married Frank F. Simmons), John, Laura B., Lincoln H., Mary F. (married Calvin T. Leonard) and a ninth child who prob. died in infancy.

Lucy and William were married 21 October 1841 in Putnum County, Indiana. The children (all nine) were born in Indiana. They migrated to Franklin County, Kansas sometime between 1860 - 1870 and lived there the rest of their lives. William farmed in Hayes Township, Franklin Co. for many years but at retirement they moved to Ottawa City (also in Franklin Co.). Lucy was alive on the 13 June 1900 US Federal census but did not appear with William on the Kansas State census of 01 March 1905.
