Note: there are no individual stones in the George W. Wallace M.D. plot. The only name is his on the stone border. Known burials in this plot are Eliza, George, and Florence Wallace.

Died, at 11 a.m., Sunday, May 18, 1913, at the family residence in Chicago, following a lingering illness of a complication of diseases, Mrs. Eliza Wallace, aged 84 years. Although living in Chicago at the time of her death, Mrs. Wallace resided in Springfield the greater part of her life. She was born here in 1829 and was the daughter of William and Madeline (Watson) Alvey, early settlers of Springfield. At the age of twenty years she was married to William Wallace [sic/should be George Wallace, M.D.], who died in 1865.

Surviving are four sons, George, William, Lincoln and Alfred Wallace, two daughters, Florence and Clara Wallace, and one sister, Mrs. M. A. Fisher, all of Springfield.

The remains will be brought to this city where the funeral services will be held. -
