Chief Quarter Master U.S. Navy. Son of Adam Chalmers Sedberry Sr. & Ida May Hildreth Sedberry.

Note: The only information I could find for him was a death index which said he died in Bremerton, Washington.

Robert Sedberry was a true hero aboard the U.S.S. Nevada at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

OFFICIAL CAUSE OF DEATH LISTED AS PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS . ROBERT WAS WOUNDED IN HIS STERNUM WHILE ABOARD THE USS NEVADA. HIS WOUND DID NOT HEAL PROPERTY RESULTING IN COMPLICATIONS WHICH LED TO PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS.

USS NEVADA, PEARL HARBOR 7 DEC 1941. CPO ROBERT SEDBERRY WAS AT THE HELM OF THE USS NEVADA WHILE UNDER ATTACK. THE NEVADA WAS ORDERED BEACHED RATHER THAN TRYING TO ESCAPE TO THE OPEN SEA FOR FEAR OF BEING SUNK BY A JAPANESE SUBMARINE. CPO ROBERT SEDBERRY RAN THE NEVADA AGROUND AT HOSPITAL POINT IN PEARL HARBOR. THIS IS THE PHOTO OF THE USS NEVADA RUN AGROUND.
