Funeral services for William Upson Chase, 59, were held at the Chase family home at 144 Main St. Saturday morning at 10 o'clock.
The Rev. M. Russell Lee, pastor of the First United Methodist Church officiated and burial was made in the family plot in Old Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Chase died at Rome, N.Y. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1973, after a brief illness.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Mildred Jessop, Dundee, N.Y., Mrs. Annette Alexander, Hannacroix, N.Y., Mrs. Irene Angus, Mansfield, O., and Mrs. Virginia Huff, Rochester; two brothers, Lester Chase, Glen Cove, and Elihu Chase, Massena.
He was born Nov. 27, 1913 in Massena, a son of the late Giles A. and Edith Hall Chase.
