The funeral of Mrs. Lewis Craley of Kouts, was held at that place on Monday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Craley lived in Boone Groove a good many years ago.

Mrs. Diana Fannie Brody Craley, age 82 years, died Sunday morning at 7 o'clock at her home in Kouts, following an extended illness.
She was born in Porter County on May 4, 1860, a daughter of Lewis K Brody and Naomie (Dye) Brody. Early in life she united with the Christian church at Boone Grove.
On Oct 8, 1884, she was married to Louis R. Craley, who preceded her in death on May 2, 1930.
Surviving are a brother, George P. Brody; three sisters, Mrs. Euphama Lightfoot, Mrs. Lodema Arnold and Miss Mary Hannah Brody, all of the Boone Grove vicinity; four nephews, Aaron, George and Edwin Pumroy, of Kouts, and Fred of Highland, Ind., and four nieces, Mrs. Nettie Kelly, of Hammond; Mrs. Fannie Koomier, of Rochester; Mrs. Oliver Hoffmeister, of Gary, and Miss Mary Craley, who has made her home with the descendant for the past 31 years. Memorial services will be held at the Christian church in Kouts on Tuesday, May 12, at 1 pm, with Rev. J. E. Slimp, of Boone Grove, officiating. Burial will be in Cornell cemetery, with C. H. Stinchfield, of Valparaiso in charge.
Friends may call at the family home in Kouts up until time of the services.
