Emily R. Eastman

Age 93, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2008, at her home, Willow Street, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Prior to moving to Willow Valley Lakes Manor in 1987, she was a resident of Limestone Acres in Wilmington, Delaware. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Sophia Scherf Ascough. She was the wife of the late Arthur B. Eastman who died in April. A homemaker, Emily worked as a clerk for American Viscose. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lancaster. She was a past member and deacon at the Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, Wilmington, Delaware.

Emily was the last of her immediate family.

A memorial service will be held at Lakeside at Willow Valley, 300 Willow Valley Lakes Dr., Willow Street, PA on Thursday, December 4, at 10:30 am. Private interment will be held in Red Clay Creek Cemetery, Wilmington, Delaware.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 140 E. Orange St., Lancaster, Pennsylvania, 17062.
