Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully with family at her hospital bedside and returned home to her Heavenly Father on December 1, 2008 at the age of 82.

She was born in Price, Utah on February 13, 1926 daughter of CR and Orilla Jones Higgins. Her family moved to Salt Lake City in 1935. She attended Granite High, then Jordan High and graduated in 1944. She married Ellis R. Jackson her high school sweetheart and love of her life in the Salt Lake LDS temple for time and eternity on October 27, 1944. They were loving companions for 64 wonderful years.

When Ellis returned from military service, they moved to Granite in1951 and became mink ranchers. Now began the purpose of her life, to raise a family. There never was a more loving, giving, caring and selfless mother than Phyllis. She gave her all for her family in teaching her children the right way to live every day of her life. Her favorite saying was from our Savior Jesus Christ. "As I have loved you, love one another"

She is survived by her husband Ellis, her daughter Lorene Clarke (Callis), sons, Kelvin (Lori), Ron, Shaun (Kathy), Bryan, 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She lived a life full of love and compassion for her family and all of those close to her.
