AUSABLE FORKS — Catherine Votraw, 103, passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at the Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh, N.Y. She was born on Jan. 9, 1905, in Ausable Forks, the daughter of Charles and Jennie (Deloria) Votraw.
Catherine was a bookkeeper for 60 years for Huntington Insurance Agency; she enjoyed playing cards and going on vacation to Florida.
She is survived by two nieces, Ruth Devins and La Shumway; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Jennie (Deloria) Votraw; two sisters, Eva and Agnes; and two brothers, Morris and Leo; and a nephew, Charles Light.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Ausable Forks at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
