Marsha Blake Leatherwood, age 53, passed away peacefully at home October 11, 1999 after a valiant battle with ovarian cancer.

Born June 19, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Laurence and Genevieve Blake. She married her high school sweetheart and eternal companion, Dan Leatherwood, September 15, 1966 in the Salt Lake Temple. Marsha was a devout member of the LDS Church and the epitome of unconditional love and service in every aspect of her life. She served faithfully as stake and ward Young Women's president and twice as ward Relief Society president, in addition to many other callings. Her deeds will radiate for good, not only in the lives of those she touched firsthand, but also of those she influenced indirectly. Marsha's greatest joy was her sweetheart, Dan; children and grandchildren. We would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and caretakers who tirelessly cared for Marsha the last three years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dan; children, Jeff (Mabelle), Lisa (Lance) Pearson, Susan, Travis (Angela); grandchildren, Bryce and Blake Pearson and Logan Leatherwood; mother, Genevieve Blake; siblings, Lolene Blake, Larry (Linda) Blake, Richard (Sherry) Blake, Linda (Reed) Carver, Randy (Julie) Blake; mother-in-law, Ohleen Leatherwood. Preceded in death by her father.
