Glasgow – Vyrl M. Richards, 91, of Glasgow, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital campus. Born Dec. 7, 1913, at Glasgow, she was a daughter of Harry W. and Mary I. (Myers) McClellan. Mrs. Richards attended Mount Zion Lutheran Church. She retired as a telephone operator from the former Reade Township Telephone Co., Glasgow. She is survived by two sons, Donald B. and Stephen A. "Pep," both of Glasgow; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Cecil, George, William and Harry; and a sister, Neva. Mrs. Richards was the last of her generation. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. tomorrow and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
