Services at Nineveh on Thursday
Died following operation Monday.
Edinburgh, Sept 6 - Funeral services will be held from Nineveh Christian Church at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon for Mrs Leona Gosney Bills, age 69, wife of Elmer Bills, whose death occurred at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Monday evening. The rites will be in charge of the Rev. G. F. Powers, Pastor of the Nineveh Church. Internment will be in the Nineveh Cemetery. Mrs Bills had been removed to the Indianapolis Hospital last Saturday morning and underwent an operation there Monday, her death following several hours later.
She was the daughter of Joseph and Anna Farr Gosney, born 24 Sept 1874 in Nineveh and was united in marriage to Elmer Bills in 1893. Seven children were born to this union, two of whom died in infancy. Surviving with the husband are three sons, Loran Bills, Principal of Center Grove High School; Nelson Bills, Franklin and Oris Bills, Edinburg; and two daughters, Mrs. Georgia Critzer of Los Angeles, Calif. and Mrs. Beula Swisher, Indianapolis, nine grandchildren; a sister Miss Carrie Gosney of Indianapolis and four brothers, Guy Gosney, Bondsville, Ill; Hartwell Gosney, Grand Rapids, Mich., Alfred Gosney of Indianapolis and William Gosney, Edinburg, also survive.
Mrs Bills was a member of the Eastern Star, she had served as Past Worthy Matron and was Secretary-Treasurer of the Chapter at the time of her death.
