Alfredo Goncalves, 75, of North Syracuse, passed away Sunday. Born in Portugal, he worked for Laborers Local 333 for 25 years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, winemaking and spending time with family and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Ida Martins. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Deolinda Moura Goncalves; children, Joe (Sandy) Goncalves, Josie Goncalves, Tina (Bob) Reale and Paula (Charles) Petit; sister, Ana Goncalves; grandchildren, Rachel, Bethany, Leah and Joanna Goncalves, Stacy and Alyssa Reale, and Corrina and Charlie Petit. Funeral services will be 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home, and 11 a.m. in North Assembly of God Church, 7463 Buckley Rd., North Syracuse. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling Hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 1500 Park St. Contributions may be made to Luca Vassallo Benefit for treatment of Leukemia, c/o Gregory Vassallo, 319 18th St., Apt 1B, Brooklyn, NY 11215 or American Stroke Assocation, 100 Northern Concourse, North Syracuse, NY 13212.
