Lucia was born on 16 Jul 1874 in Chiusano di San Domenico, Avellino, Campania, Italy. She was the daughter of Gaetano Picardi & Maria DiNapoli.

Lucia married her first cousin, Giacomo Picardi, in Chiusano di San Domenico, Avellino, Campania, Italy on 2 Mar 1895.

She departed Naples, Naples, Campania, Italy with her 2 sons (Raffaele & Giovanni) aboard the SS Vancouver on 10 Nov 1902. They arrived at Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, USA on 27 Nov 1902. Giacomo had 8 children: Raffaele, Giovanni, Genoveffa, Luigi, Carmela, Michelina, George & Amelia.

Lucia died in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts on 8 Mar 1946. She is buried with her husband and children Margaret (Michelina) & Ralph.
