Aaron Fortenberry Rites Held Wed.

Funeral services were held for Aaron Fortenberry, 68, in the First Baptist church on Wednesday, October 12, with the pastor, the Rev. T. J. Watts, officiating. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery with Robert West Funeral Home directing interment.

Pallbearers were Manuel Neely, Claude Richardson, Grover Hall, Earl Roberts, Dale Collins and George Simmons.

A native of Alabama, Mr. Fortenberry was born August 20, 1887.

He was married to Miss Ruth Italy Hall on February 28, 1909.

He was a farmer and lived near Honey Grove for many years.

Mr. Fortenberry died at 7:30 o'clock a.m. October 11, 1955, enroute to his home from town, apparently of a heart attack.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Elbie Fortenberry of Honey Grove and Alvin Fortenberry of Mesquite; five grandchildren; one brother, Silas Fortenberry, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Scott and Mrs. Ada Wright, all of Honey Grove.
