Mrs. T. J. Hammack Buried Saturday At Oakwood Cemetery

A gloom of sadness was cast over our community by the passing of Mrs. T. J. Hammack on the night of Wednesday, January 21, at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, after an illness of two weeks' duration.

Ida McLemore was born at Woodland May 23, 1883, being 64 years of age.

She married T. J. Hammack on June 1, 1915, and the couple came to Honey Grove in 1920.

Mrs. Hammack had been an active member of the Methodist church; took an active part in the WSCS, of which she was a charter member. In earlier years she taught a Sunday school class and worked with young people. She had a jovial disposition and always had a smile for everyone.

She is survived by her husband, T. J. Hammack; a stepson, J. W. Hammack; and a brother, A. H. McLemore of Ladonia.

Last rites were held at the Methodist church on Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, and the body was given burial Saturday morning at Oakwood Cemetery.
