Son of Luther Jasper Foy and Laura Cooper Foy. Beloved husband of Bessie Arlene Fisher Foy. He was followed in death by a son, Vura K. Foy, Jr.; a daughter, Geraldine Foy Lutterloah; four brothers in law: Eldridge Fisher, Clifton Fisher, Ray Fisher, and Hughdell Fisher; and one sister in law, Cecile Hall. Mr. Foy was a member of First Advent Christian Church. He was also an avid gardener. Surviving is one son, William Douglas Foy of Hampstead; one brother in law, Leonard Fisher of Jacksonville; five sisters in laws, Blanche Rhodes, Myrtle Marshburn, and Vernell Campbell all of Jacksonville, Ruth Rhodes of Hampstead, and Marie Mullen of WV; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
