MRS. RACHEL VIRGINIA CLARK
Mrs. Rachel Virginia Clark, 63, wife of Harry Clark, formerly a judge of the Orphan's Court of Queen Anne's county, died at her home in Denton early Monday morning after a long illness. Mr. and Mrs. Clark had lived on their farm near Queen Anne since their marriage in 1887, removing to Denton after their home was destroyed by fire a few years ago. Mrs. Clark was a daughter of the late Stephen Henry and Rachel Wix Anderson, prominent citizens of Tuckahoe Neck, and was one of thirteen children, seven of whom survive, as follows: Mrs. Mollie Wilkinson, of Norfolk; Mrs. R. M. Pennington, of Washington; Mrs. C. R. Straughn, of Philadelphia; Mrs. O. J. Redden, of Denton; Mrs. Laura Porter, of Burrsville; Mrs. F. B. Bennett and Robert L. Anderson, of Baltimore. Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. John Taylor, of Wilmington, a son, Wilbur A. Clark, of Cape May C.H., N.J., and five grandchildren. Funeral services, conducted by Dr. J. W. Kirk, pastor of the Denton M.P. Church, were held at the hom eon Wednesday afternoon and interment was made in Denton cemetery. The pall-bearers were two grandsons, Clark and Fletcher Taylor, and four nephews - Eugene Anderson, Harry Porter, Henry Wilkinson, Anderson Redden.
